a) Hi! we are Laia and Anna, today we're going to talk about the U.K., the British Isles and Great Britain.
First I want to explain the difference between The U.K., the British Isles and G.B. The U.K. Is made up for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, The Great Britain is the island made up for England, Scotland and Wales and the British Isles are Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The U.K:

The British Isles:               Great Britain:

b) The four countries England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland make up the UK

c) History of the making of the U.K.
Great Britain has a long history of invasions of the Celts, The Romans, The Anglo- Saxons, who crate the name of 'England' that comes from 'Angle-land', The Vikings from Norway, The Normans.
But the story of the making of the U.K. Can be told with the history of the Union Jack.
The Union Jack represented the political union of the three kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland (now only Northern Ireland), and no Wales because at the begin it only was a Principality. First the England Flag and the Scotland Flag made the first union jack on 1606 that as known simply as 'the British flag' or 'the flag of Britain'. Later the Northern Ireland Flag joined and made the actual Union Jack.
